Cinema Without Barriers on the Road

Cinema Without Barriers on the Road is a project aimed at involving people with diverse needs in film culture.

The project is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute, the European Union (Creative Europe program: Audience Development & Film Education), and the Poznań City Budget managed by the CK ZAMEK.

Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Neither the European Union nor the EACEA can be held responsible for them.

About Cinema without Barriers on the road

Cinema Without Barriers on the Road combines film screenings with educational activities. Established in 2024, the project takes place every summer in selected towns across the Wielkopolska region. Local cultural centers, cinemas, and community animators are invited to cooperate.

All screenings within the project provide:
• audiodescription,
• SDH subtitles,
• Polish Sign Language (PJM) interpretation – for both the film and the accompanying meeting,
• induction loops supporting hearing for people with hearing aids or cochlear implants.
Cinemas selected for the project ensure wheelchair access (to both the screening room and accessible toilets).

In 2026, the project will continue as the Cinema Without Barriers on the Road Review, taking the form of a traveling, accessible film festival.
